{"id":1595,"date":"2024-09-08T05:33:24","date_gmt":"2024-09-08T03:33:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/costadamorte.info\/?post_type=libro&#038;p=1595"},"modified":"2024-11-25T07:11:42","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T06:11:42","slug":"from-the-lighthouse-of-cape-vilan-to-camelle","status":"publish","type":"libro","link":"https:\/\/guia.visitacostadamorte.com\/en\/libro\/from-the-lighthouse-of-cape-vilan-to-camelle\/","title":{"rendered":"From the lighthouse of cape Vil\u00e1n to Camelle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>There are two options to return from cape Vil\u00e1n: head back to Camari\u00f1as and Ponte do Porto and from there set off to Camelle, or take the earthed track along the coast by the English cemetery, the cove of Trece, Santa Mari\u00f1a, Arou and reach Camelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second option will take longer and the route is more difficult because of the rough track to Santa Mari\u00f1a, but the landscapes along the way are spectacular and you have the chance to visit one of the most iconic locations on this coast: the English Cemetery, built after the sinking of the naval vessel Serpent, which ran aground here on 10 November 1890 and caused the death of 173 of its 176 crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the cemetery, the track continues to Santa Mari\u00f1a, a village with a small fishing port, and then goes on to Arou, a village close to a magnificent beach.
